General surgery
Elective surgery for hernia, gallbladder and appendix problems, using a laparoscopic approach wherever it gets you home sooner.
Request a consultElective lists built around recovery
Hernia repairs, gallbladder removal and appendix surgery are booked onto scheduled operating lists, with a laparoscopic approach used wherever it shortens recovery and reduces scarring compared with an open operation. A consultant anaesthetist reviews every patient before their operation and remains responsible for anaesthesia throughout.
Instruments and consumables are single-use for each patient, and a recovery nurse is assigned to watch over you from the moment you leave theatre until you are ready to go home or to a ward bed. Before discharge you leave with clear wound-care instructions and a follow-up date.
